The Master of Science in Accounting and Information Technology (MSAIT) degree develops accounting and information technology competencies needed in modern organizations. As today's companies accumulate stores of data, they are increasingly looking for people with the ability to secure, analyze and utilize data in ways never before possible. The MSAIT program provides the knowledge and hands-on experience in information security and control, regulatory reporting, business intelligence and enterprise information management.

STEM Designation & Hybrid Learning

The MSAIT program is STEM Designated. According to the data from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, the median annual wage of STEM occupations in 2019 was $86,980.

The program offers full-time students the ability to graduate in two years and working professionals the flexibility to enroll part-time. Classes are offered in evenings at both the San Marcos and Round Rock campuses. A majority of the classes are delivered online or via technology-enhanced formats that provide both face-to-face and distance learning.

The required course work covers the core AIT areas of management accounting, accounting information systems, database management, information security, project management and business consulting.
